It has been quite some time since I featured a site using the Notes Blog Core theme. I’ll get better with that in the future, promise, so be sure to send me your links if you’ve done something cool with the theme.
With that in mind, take a look at Interkulturellt Nätverk, a Swedish women’s organization who recently launched their website using Notes Blog Core as a basis. It’s not your average blog, at all actually, which is always nice to see.

The site was developed by Sennbrink Konsult.
Smashing WordPress: Beyond the Blog is now available in its second edition. The book is revised and updated, sporting even more Notes Blog galore, all in full color.
My latest book is called Smashing WordPress Themes: Making WordPress Beautiful and is all about theming. The book is available now from your favorite online retailer (or physical bookstore).
Thanks for having UNIFEM Örebro and myself featured like this! I am very satisfied with that I have been able to modify the theme the way we want. We recently performed some education on the live site, breaking the whole thing… Deactivating the plugin Redirection put us back on track. Now all there is left is to re-add some of the content and continue the backend development.
Thanks for your Notes Blog Core theme and the book. It’s so refreshing to get back to basics, to learn more about the core of WordPress, and to be free from the unnecessary clutter (and price) of some of the premium themes.
I got my hands burned yesterday when I purchased a theme which wouldn’t install properly, cost me plenty, and was refused a refund. That’s when I dug out your book and theme, and said enough’s enough. I’ll be using Notes Blog Core from now on.
I’m glad to hear that, Liz!
