Notes Blog Core is working perfectly well with the recently released WordPress 2.9, should anyone have any doubts about that. However, none of the new features have been added to the theme yet – this will happen in January when I move it to version 1.1. More on that later, for now I’d like to wish you all a Happy Holiday!
Smashing WordPress: Beyond the Blog is now available in its second edition. The book is revised and updated, sporting even more Notes Blog galore, all in full color.
My latest book is called Smashing WordPress Themes: Making WordPress Beautiful and is all about theming. The book is available now from your favorite online retailer (or physical bookstore).
After installing Core as my WordPress theme I now have a good looking crap interface. I am logged in as admin, but have no means (menu options) of selecting administration of the pages.
I think I’ll take a raincheck. It looks good though.
I’m afraid I must agree with Peter, this doesn’t at all sound like anything Notes Blog Core could do to your install. What version of WordPress are you running? Have you tried disabling all the plugins?
What do you mean Carsten? It is a theme and it doesn’t change your WP admin interface at all… It us probably something else, have you tried disabling your plugins and closing the web browser?

I’m not sure what you mean, Bruce. Is your admin interface broken, or do you lack edit links? Because they are there, on both posts and pages, at the bottom of them for quick edit. Same with comments.
If you admin interface broke then it is not a Notes Blog Core issue. Likely it is a plugin that mess things up, or possibly an error in your installation of the theme (from the wp.org servers). Reinstall and you should be fine if that is the case.
