Announcing the Core 1.0 Second Public Beta!

The second, and possibly last, public beta of Notes Blog Core is out, and you can get it at the bottom of this post. First, however, some notes on what has changed:

  • A bunch of bugs have been squashed.
  • There is now pullquote support, along with a shortcode.
  • Comments and pings are now separated.
  • Some minor stylistic changes have been rolled out across the board.

There still isn’t a fixed license. It will be GPL, nothing else, I just haven’t decided on which one.

Assuming you have made your changes in a child theme, users of the previous beta should be able to just overwrite the old notesblog-core folder. Backup just in case though!

As always, read the readme files for more. WordPress 2.8 is required.

Please report any bugs or other weirdness you run into in the comments below. Also, see the first public beta post for child theme instructions and such. And remember, this is free beta software. It might break.

    Minor “weirdness.
    It says “Add widgets to Footer A for this one to rock!” in both of the footer widget areas.
