That’s right, this blog is powered by WordPress 2.7, a nightly build. 2.7 isn’t due out until November, and it is late September as I’m writing this, so it might be a bit mad perhaps.
Thing is, I need to run 2.7 to be able to do the theming I want with the Notes Blog theme, which I have written about over on my blog. As I said in a recent blog post, the core theme and its child theme addons will require WordPress 2.7, and won’t work on older versions. Read all about that here.
I’ll be using the notesblog.com domain to test my stuff, as well as present them to you. For now, it’ll be all in public, but at a later date I’ll be moving the testing areas to a subdomain, and keep the actual site free from those hideous lorem ipsum posts.
Smashing WordPress: Beyond the Blog is now available in its second edition. The book is revised and updated, sporting even more Notes Blog galore, all in full color.
My latest book is called Smashing WordPress Themes: Making WordPress Beautiful and is all about theming. The book is available now from your favorite online retailer (or physical bookstore).
