Regular readers of my blog might wonder when the Notes Blog Core theme will be made available. I have hinted on a public beta version, and that is still on the table, although it will be some time more before I’ll make it available. So why the delay? Well, first of all I feel that I can tweak this baby some more. I’m already running Notes Blog Core powered add-on themes on my blogs, and another two will roll out soon. Both WordPress 2.7 and Notes Blog Core is more or less ready for prime time, but they are a bit rough around the edges.
In the case of Notes Blog Core, it’s a matter of cleaning some stuff up, making sure that the translation file is pretty much complete, and give it a final test in all the web browsers. This version, being 0.5.1-dev, should work, but “should” won’t do it for me.
Another reason for the delay is the web host I’ve been using. I intend to move my sites to a new host in a few days time, so bear with me if we get some downtime while I’m doing that. After that, I can focus on getting Notes Blog Core beta 1 out there.
Smashing WordPress: Beyond the Blog is now available in its second edition. The book is revised and updated, sporting even more Notes Blog galore, all in full color.
My latest book is called Smashing WordPress Themes: Making WordPress Beautiful and is all about theming. The book is available now from your favorite online retailer (or physical bookstore).
good luck !!
Thanks!
btw, where is the threaded comment option ?
that’s cool
I am following the development of this theme …
It’s not added yet, but it will be before the beta release.
